Our journey will start in Greece, where we stay with our friends Barbara and Peter in the small village of Chrisokellaria. We stayed here in 2019: Vera and I were at the start of a new relationship, and this was our first trip abroad together.
We then catch the overnight ferry from Patras to Bari, and travel by train up through Italy - Florence, Pisa and Genoa. I have my doubts about Pisa, having briefly visited when last in Italy and finding it thronged with hordes of tourists all milling around the famous tower. But Vera wants to see this famous sight, and perhaps by staying overnight we will discover another side to this town
Then we travel through France (Nice and Nimes) to Spain and Barcelona
From here we have a few days in Madrid
By now we will probably be exhausted and jaded, so we head to Malaga where we stay with our friend Dave in the coastal village of Torremuelle
More friends, Lindsay and Dave, after this in their fabulous Casa in the olive groves near Iznajar.
Finally to Seville, which everybody tells us is amongst the best places to visit in Spain. So hopefully we're saving the best till last before flying back to sunny Manchester
